About LuggageSpec

LuggageSpec exists because baggage answers online are a mess. Search any airline's carry-on limit and you'll find third-party charts that disagree with each other and, more often than anyone admits, with the airline. During our own verification for this site we caught two of these errors in the wild: a widely-repeated claim that British Airways allows 23 kg of carry-on (BA publishes no carry-on weight limit — 23 kg is its checked weight), and stale Scoot figures still showing the old 7 kg rule after the airline moved to a 10 kg combined allowance.

Our editorial promise

What we cover

Twenty major airlines chosen for travellers out of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore plus the big intercontinental carriers — with honest substitutions where an airline's page couldn't be verified (Air Canada, HK Express and Air New Zealand replaced three carriers whose official pages we couldn't reach this cycle). Alongside the airline pages: a 20-airline comparison table, a liquids-rule guide built from official airport-authority pages (TSA, HKIA, Changi), and a plain guide to gate checks.

Independence

LuggageSpec is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any airline or airport authority. The site is funded by advertising and occasional affiliate links to travel gear we'd mention anyway — always marked and disclosed, and they never influence what we publish. See the disclosure page.

Corrections

Baggage rules change constantly. If an allowance here no longer matches the airline's page, tell us — corrections ship fast, gratefully, and with the verification date updated.
