Qatar Airways cabin baggage allowance
Qatar Airways is stricter than most on size — the Economy carry-on may not exceed 50 x 37 x 25 cm — and more generous in premium cabins, where two pieces up to 15 kg combined are allowed.
The short answer
Economy: 1 piece up to 7 kg, max 50 x 37 x 25 cm. Business / First: 2 pieces up to 15 kg combined. Personal items — a small handbag, coat, umbrella, camera, reading material — are carried in addition.
Cabin bag: size and weight at a glance

| Weight — Economy | 7 kg |
| Weight — Business / First Elite | 2 pieces, 15 kg combined |
| Brazil departures | 10 kg |
| US security rule | Only 1 carry-on + 1 personal item from US airports |
Dimensions always include wheels and handles unless the airline says otherwise.
Personal item policy
Qatar Airways lists the items that travel free alongside your carry-on: a small purse or briefcase, coat or blanket, umbrella, walking stick or crutches, a small camera or binoculars, reading material, an infant carrycot, and reasonable duty-free purchases.
Checked baggage: how it works
Qatar Airways uses two systems: the piece concept to/from Africa and the Americas (e.g. 23 kg pieces in Economy by fare; 32 kg per piece in premium cabins) and the weight concept elsewhere (20-35 kg in Economy by fare, 40 kg Business, 50 kg First). No single piece may exceed 32 kg.
If your bag is too big or too heavy
Carry-on beyond the allowance is checked; airport charges are the highest. The allowance checker on Qatar's official page shows your exact entitlement.

Weigh before you wing it
Most carriers here enforce a 7–10 kg cabin limit. A luggage scale costs less than one gate fee and ends the guesswork.
