Singapore Airlines cabin baggage allowance
Singapore Airlines fixes a 7 kg cabin allowance and a 115 cm per-piece size cap, then varies the number of pieces by cabin: one piece in Economy, two in Premium Economy, Business, First and Suites.
The short answer
7 kg in total across your cabin bag(s): one piece in Economy, two in Premium Economy and above. Each piece max 115 cm (sum of length + width + height), plus one personal item.
Cabin bag: size and weight at a glance
| Item | Singapore Airlines allowance |
|---|---|
| Weight (total) | 7 kg (all cabins) |
| Pieces — Economy | 1 cabin bag + 1 personal item |
| Pieces — Premium Economy / Business / First / Suites | 2 cabin bags + 1 personal item |
| Size (per piece) | Max 115 cm total; items over 80 cm count as a cabin bag |
| Infant allowance | 6 kg (for each infant travelling with an adult) |
Dimensions always include wheels and handles unless the airline says otherwise.
Personal item policy
In addition to your allowance you may carry one personal item — a handbag, laptop bag, umbrella, small camera — roughly within 40 x 30 x 10 cm. An item measuring more than 80 cm in total dimensions is treated as one of your cabin bags, not a personal item.
Checked baggage: how it works
Checked allowance is by piece concept on most international routes, set by route, cabin and fare type. PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members get extra checked allowance on Singapore Airlines flights — check the current tables on SIA's page.
If your bag is too big or too heavy
Cabin baggage found over the 7 kg or size limits at the gate will have to be checked in. Charges for excess or gate-handling vary by airport; the airline's own pages carry the current figures.

Weigh before you wing it
Most carriers here enforce a 7–10 kg cabin limit. A luggage scale costs less than one gate fee and ends the guesswork.
